This rumour has gained popularity overtime in which a tattered 10 rupees note having a name of a girl “Sonam Gupta” is supposed to be written by her ex - lover. This topic is one of the hottest topics to be discussed and shared which initially got hilarious reactions from citizens of our nation. According to Google, a data has been released in which Sonam Gupta is at 3rd position in 2016 Top 10 list of famous personalities. Internet is flooded with memes, jokes, videos and GIFs on Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, etc. It was noticed first in the month of August, last year and it has many stories connected with Sonam and her jilted lover. As soon as this note travelled across many cities and people, finally someone clicked the picture of that note and uploaded it. The efforts done by PM Modi to remove corruption i.e demonetisation of 500 and 1000 rupees note on 8th November, 2016 provide this tale with another direction as it was less known before this announcement. As the love story hasn’t spared 2000 rupee note too, made this an overall trending topic.
From many origins, it is believed that the lover who seemed to be dejected from his relationship tried to warn others. This one-sided love of the man has reached its heights which gone viral quickly. From some sources, it is believed that Sonam was proposed on 14th Feb by a guy and she reject firmly. As Sonam hasn’t accepted his feelings the one-sided lover is now transformed to a person who is full of anger and frustration which made him to defame Sonam. So, he wrote what all was in his mind i.e Sonam Gupta bewafa hai, to warn others that Sonam is not loyal.
